Our History
1991
Grunge was in, the Internet was a fad, and 26-year-old Tony Scott founded Pro-Claim Restoration based on purpose. He wanted to bring a new level of customer service to the restoration industry.
1997
To expedite repairs, avoid outsourcing, and offer more sustainable options, Tony developed Pro Claim’s in-house flooring division, PC Flooring. Their original motto? “Making the world a better place, one floor at a time.”
2007
Grunge was out, the Internet dominated our lives, and Geoff Shand started Platinum Pacific Restoration. Specializing in strata losses, Geoff’s team was also renowned for exceptional customer service.
2008
Back at Pro-Claim, Tony recognized that traditional management styles just didn’t work. “What’s best for the employee?” became their key philosophy, and has proven itself ever since.
2013
Two industry leaders are better than one. In 2013, Geoff & Tony combined their specialties to provide even better service. Pro-Claim and Platinum Pacific Restoration became the juggernaut, PPCR.
2014
With a rapidly growing business, we moved into our 43,000 sqft office. We also picked up our On-Site Esporta machine & Bio-Sweep Chamber, continuing our legacy of amazing customer service.
2015
Similar to PC Flooring, we started our own cabinetry team, called....you guessed it...PC Cabinets. This expansion helped us reduce cycle times and control the timeline of our jobs.
2016
We really started to dig our teeth into sustainability. We became the first restoration company in Canada to actively track, measure, and reduce our carbon emissions. We created our CO2 benchmark in 2016 and have been reducing it ever since.
2019
NEW LOOK, WHO DIS?! In 2019, we revamped our brand and ditched that tacky Edwardian Script font. We ushered in a new era for PPCR where we kept doing all the great things—just a lot prettier now.
2019
Enter Pro-Claim Group! In 2019, PPCR decided to partner with industry powerhouse and Vancouver Island favourite, Downs Construction. This helped us create our head office, The Pro-Claim Group, where we aimed to elevate our entire industry to new heights.
2020
In 2020, we teamed up with local Calgary company, ProStar Cleaning & Restoration. Now, we’ve got not one but two dynamic duos: ProStar Cleaning and Pro-Claim Calgary. Double the companies, double the awesome!
2020
In 2020, our group got even bigger as our parent company acquired McKnight Cleaning and Restoration based out of Canmore, AB. We gave them a bit of a rebrand too, and now they’re proudly known as Pro-Claim Canmore. More family, more fun!
2021
In 2021, we kept growing and expanded our family to Cranbrook, BC. PCG acquired Paulson Fire & Flood from the retiring Robert Paulson himself. New town, same awesome vibes!
2021
In 2021, we joined the GUS Network, expanding our partners to include over 267 restoration contractors across Canada! More partners, more power!
